Chetak Electric Scooter Price Increased in Nepal

Kathmandu: The price of Bajaj’s Chetak electric scooter has increased again in the Nepali market.

Hansraj Hulaschand & Company, the official distributor of Chetak electric scooters in Nepal, has increased the price of the Chetak 3501 by NPR 25,000.

Following the latest price revision, the Chetak 3501 is now priced at NPR 389,900. This marks the third price increase for the Chetak since it was launched in the Nepali market in Shrawan 2082.

The company had first increased the price by NPR 25,000 in Jestha, followed by another NPR 15,000 increase in Shrawan. With the latest NPR 25,000 hike, the scooter has now become NPR 65,000 more expensive within just four months.

The Chetak was initially launched in Nepal at NPR 324,900.

The Bajaj Chetak is powered by a 4.2 kW motor and features a 3.5 kWh battery pack. According to the company, the electric scooter can deliver a range of up to 153 km on a single full charge.

With a fast charger, the Chetak can charge from 0 to 80 percent in around 3 hours. It has a top speed of 73 km/h and comes with a solid metal body design. The scooter also features a 5-inch TFT touchscreen display.

In terms of features, the Chetak comes equipped with an LED lighting setup, smart connectivity, smart navigation, music and call controls, real-time document access, geofencing, accident detection, anti-theft protection, water and dust resistance, over-the-air updates, disc brakes, alloy wheels, multiple ride modes, hill-hold assist, reverse mode, protection features, and 35-litre under-seat storage.
