GAC Motor Nepal Calls for Patience as Investigation into Bharatpur Aion Y Fire Continues

GAC Motor Nepal has urged the public and media to remain patient while authorities investigate the fire incident involving an Aion Y electric vehicle in Bharatpur on September 11, 2026.

In an official statement, CG Motors Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of GAC Motor vehicles in Nepal, expressed sorrow over the tragic incident and concerns about the spread of unverified information through some media reports and social media platforms.

The company extended its heartfelt condolences to the family of Amar Parajuli, who lost his life in the accident, and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

CG Motors stated that Nepal Police and relevant government agencies are currently conducting an investigation into the incident and assured full cooperation with the authorities. The company also noted that technical experts from the vehicle manufacturer will examine the affected vehicle, with findings expected to be released after the investigation is completed.

According to the statement, the exact cause of the incident should be determined only through a fair, scientific, and technical investigation carried out in accordance with internationally accepted standards.

Company Warns Against Premature Conclusions

CG Motors further expressed concern over what it described as speculation, unverified claims, and misleading interpretations circulating on social media and in some sections of the media.
