MG Tomahawk EV Pre-Booking Opens in Nepal | Expected Price, Features & Launch Details

JSW MG Motor Nepal, under GO Auto, has officially opened pre-bookings for the new MG Hector Tomahawk EV in Nepal. The electric SUV is expected to enter the Nepalese market soon, although the company has not yet revealed the final Nepal-spec model, available variants or official pricing.

The Tomahawk EV is MG’s latest electric SUV and is positioned as a practical option for families looking for more space, technology and electric performance. In India, the SUV is offered in both five-seat and seven-seat configurations, giving buyers the choice between additional passenger space and greater luggage capacity.

MG Tomahawk EV Price in Nepal

The MG Tomahawk EV price in Nepal is expected to be below Rs. 65 lakh. However, the final price will depend on the variant, equipment and specifications that JSW MG Motor Nepal brings to the local market.

For reference, the Hector Tomahawk EV is priced in India from around INR 19.49 lakh, with the price going up to approximately INR 23.50 lakh depending on the variant and seating configuration.

The Nepal-spec version could have a different variant lineup and equipment package compared to the Indian model. Therefore, features and specifications may vary when the SUV officially launches in Nepal.

Battery, Motor and Range

The MG Tomahawk EV comes with a 69.2 kWh LFP battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor.

The motor produces 150 kW of power and 310 Nm of torque, giving the SUV enough performance for both city driving and longer journeys. MG claims a MIDC-certified range of up to 517 km on a full charge.

The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in around 8.2 seconds, which is quite respectable for an electric SUV of its size.

Charging Time

The Tomahawk EV supports up to 90 kW DC fast charging. According to MG, the battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in around 35 minutes when using a compatible DC fast charger.

For home charging, the SUV supports a 7.4 kW AC charger. A full charge from 10% to 100% takes approximately 12.5 hours.

For Nepalese buyers, the availability of suitable charging infrastructure will be an important factor, especially for those planning to use the Tomahawk EV for longer-distance travel.

Other exterior highlights include 18-inch alloy wheels and a powered tailgate, adding to both the SUV's appearance and everyday practicality.

Inside, MG has focused heavily on technology. The dashboard gets a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, along with an 8.8-inch digital driver's display.

Depending on the variant, buyers can also get features such as a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, 256-colour ambient lighting, rear window sunshades and a memory function for the driver's seat.

Technology and Connectivity

The Tomahawk EV comes with a range of connected and convenience features aimed at making everyday driving easier.

These include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging and MG's i-SMART connected technology.

The SUV also gets a 10-speaker Infinity sound system on selected variants.

MG has added several cabin modes designed for different situations. These include Nap, Camp, Energise, Pro Pet, Valet and Quiet modes, giving owners additional flexibility depending on how they use the vehicle.

Safety Features

Safety is another major focus of the Tomahawk EV. The SUV comes equipped with six airbags, a 360-degree camera and a range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
