Upgrade to a Smarter, Greener Drive with Unbeatable Exchange Deals

What’s the Mega Exchange Carnival?

·         Organized by MAW Vriddhi, the event runs October 10–12, 2025, at Alice Reception, Gairidhara, Kathmandu, with simultaneous shows at all authorized showrooms of the four EV brands across Nepal.

·         The idea: let car owners trade in (exchange) their old vehicles for new EV models (from Deepal, Avatr, Nammi, Seres) with added incentives.

·         On-site valuation will be done via Nepal’s top 5 reconditioning houses to ensure competitive exchange offers.

·         Incentives: exchange top-ups + cash discounts up to Rs 1.5 million (i.e. Rs 15 lakh) on select models.

·         Every confirmed booking during the carnival comes with a complimentary couple’s stay at a premium resort in Nagarkot.

·         For show & interactivity: test drives (including the first public test drive of Avatr’s ultra-premium EV in Nepal), displays of Deepal S05 and Nammi Viggo, robot shows, car racing simulators, kids’ zones, food stalls, etc.

Why It Matters?

·  This is one of the most aggressive push efforts I’ve seen in Nepal’s EV space — coordinated across brands, with high incentives.

·  It lowers one of the big barriers to EV adoption: risk when switching. With good exchange deals, people may be more willing to commit.

·  The public test drives will help break the “I’ll believe it when I see it” barrier. For Avatr especially, this is an opportunity to impress.

·  By having synchronized programs at regional showrooms, it’s not just Kathmandu-centric; it’s an attempt to stimulate demand countrywide.

·  If the valuation & pricing are transparent and fair, this could raise trust in EV dealers more broadly.

Things to Watch / Be Cautious Of

·         The “up to Rs 15 lakh” incentive sounds excellent, but that “up to” is key. Many models may only qualify for lower discounts. You’ll want to check which models / variants get the top incentives.

·         The condition of your existing car will heavily influence what upgrade you can afford. If your trade-in is in poor shape, the “value” offered might be low.

·         Hidden costs: registration fees, battery warranties, servicing infrastructure, charging costs — these often get glossed over in sales events.

·         Booking vs delivery — confirm delivery timelines. Because if there’s a long wait, the benefit today might be offset by delays.

·         Verify that the showrooms in your region are truly participating with the same offers. Sometimes “national” events differ locally due to stock, policies, or logistics.
